			Carolyn Ritter will be teaching an acrylics class, Painting with Passion, at Art Center Manatee in Bradenton, Florida starting November 17th, 2012. The class will run in three five-week sessions. For details go to artcentermanatee.org. or email carolyn@carolynritter.com In February Carolyn's painting, Farm Scape, was awarded First Place in the Women Contemporary Artists members Juried Exhibition at Manatee Community College in Bradenton Florida. The show was juried by Mark Anderson B.F.A., M.F.A., Ringling College of Art and Design- interim departmenthead. Wearable Art Carolyn has released several of her best paintings for signed, limited edition silk scarves. These are available exclusively at Designer Scarves by Marlena. Each one is museum quality and custom printed. www.designerscarvesbymarlena.com “Painter Carolyn Ritter will soon see her art traveling throughout the country, as her painting of “Buddy” the Labrador Retriever was selected to appear on Georgia’s 2006 Dog and Cat Sterilization license plate.” - American Style Magazine. “Buddy” was chosen by the Georgia Department of Agriculture from 400 applicants making him the new poster pooch for animal sterilization. PROJECT CATSNIP SPAYMOBILE The side graphics “Helix the Cat” were created especially for CatSnip by artist Carolyn Ritter. The helix contains kittens that represent the breeding potential of just one cat. The Atlanta Animal Alliance owns the state-of-the-art vehicle that is equipped as a modern medical clinic. Area of Design - Carolyn is the artist interviewed "in the SPOTLIGHT" on the Area of Design website in August 2008. Area of Design is an organization that showcases established and emerging artists and designers. Kennedy Publishing will feature work by Ritter in Volume I of the Best of Artists Book, Abstract and Still Life Artists. JURIED SHOWS AND GALLERIES September 26, 2010 5-7 P.M. ART AFTER DARK Presented by ArtCenter Manatee and Manatee Players Carolyn will participate in a Paint - Around with some of the area’s finest artists who will demonstrate their skill to create a series of one of a kind paintings.
